EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR VENTURE GROUPS

Developing executive leadership capacities requires ongoing support and commitment.  Executive Director Venture Groups provide both opportunities to learn and support others in the learning process.

This innovative concept, borrowed from the corporate world, offers small groups of nonprofit executive leaders a way to build relationships, learn new skills and hold one another accountable to professional or personal goals.  Small groups of leaders meet monthly with a trained facilitator/organizational specialist.  Participants determine the leadership and management needs that they will address, set progress goals and through monthly facilitated sessions, hold each other accountable for learning and applicable progress while working through specific issues confronting their organizations.

The learning framework will consist of three elements:
  1. Hard skill transfer
  2. Networking and collaboration
  3. Self-reflection and empowerment
Participants in Venture Groups will experience:
  • improved strategic thinking
  • increased program results
  • improved management and technical skills
  • increased confidence and personal responsibility
  • improved problem solving and time management
